Xu Xiaohu Elected Chairman of China International Gold Association in Singapore
Singapore, October 12, 2023 – Xu Xiaohu, Chairman of the China Gold Association (CGA), has been elected Chairman of the China International Gold Association (CIGA) in Singapore. The announcement was made at the CIGA’s annual meeting held in Singapore on October 10-11, 2023.
As Chairman of CIGA, Mr. Xu will lead the association’s efforts to promote the development of the gold industry in China and internationally. He will work closely with other members of the CIGA Executive Committee to implement the association’s strategic plan and objectives.
“I am honored to be elected Chairman of the China International Gold Association,” said Mr. Xu. “I look forward to working with my fellow members of the Executive Committee to advance the interests of the gold industry in China and around the world.”
Mr. Xu has extensive experience in the gold industry. He has served as Chairman of the CGA since 2021, and has also held leadership positions in other industry organizations. He is a recognized expert on the gold market, and has frequently spoken at industry conferences and events.
The CIGA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development of the gold industry in China and internationally. The association’s members include gold miners, refiners, dealers, and other industry stakeholders.
The CIGA’s annual meeting brings together industry leaders from China and around the world to discuss the latest developments in the gold market. This year’s meeting focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the gold industry, as well as the outlook for the gold market in the coming years.
In addition to his role as Chairman of CIGA, Mr. Xu is also a member of the World Gold Council (WGC). The WGC is the market development organization for the gold industry. It works to increase demand for gold by promoting its use in jewelry, investment, and other applications.
