International Gold at UCSB
Background
The International Gold Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) is a highly selective undergraduate research program that provides students with an opportunity to conduct original research in the fields of physics, chemistry, and materials science. The program is designed to attract and support the most talented and promising undergraduate students from around the world.
Eligibility
Students who are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university outside the United States are eligible to apply for the International Gold Program. Applicants must have a strong academic record, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 in relevant coursework. They must also have experience in research, and be able to demonstrate a strong interest in the field of their proposed research.
Program Structure
The International Gold Program is a one-year program, which begins in September and ends in June. During the program, students will conduct original research under the supervision of a UCSB faculty mentor. Students will also take coursework in their field of interest, and participate in a variety of research seminars and workshops.

Application Process

The selection process for the International Gold Program is highly competitive. A committee of faculty members from UCSB will review all applications and select the most qualified students. Students who are selected for the program will be notified by April 15th.
